Five years practising sport in a safe,
inclusive space for the LGBTIAQ+ community
On 17 April 2024 Diversport Torremolinos celebrated its fifth birthday, having been set up in November 2018 with the aim of creating safe sporting spaces for members of the LGBTIAQ+ community.
Diversport Torremolinos is a private not-for-profit entity whose main aim is the practice and promotion of sporting activities, fostering inclusion and participation from diversity and respect for human rights. We also actively work to develop educational activities and materials to defend the human rights of the LGBTIAQ+ community.
Since first setting up, the Club has undergone many changes and seen a meteoric rise in the number of members and in the sports sections available, participations in national and international events, etc.
Diversport Torremolinos currently has 300 members, ranging in age from 23 to 73, who come from at least 38 different countries.
As for our sports sections, our members can enjoy beach volleyball, tennis, padel, sports training, football, water sports, roller-skating, pétanque, swimming, hiking, relax (yoga, meditation, mindfulness, etc.) and culture (dance, drama, book club).
