We are proud to announce that Diversport Torremolinos has been awarded as “Club Estrella 2025” in the second edition of the ADI LGTBI Awards, held yesterday in Madrid. This recognition reinforces our commitment to diversity, inclusion and visibility of the LGTBIQ+ collective in the sports field.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the ADI Awards organizers for this significant recognition, which motivates us to continue improving every day and remain leaders in diversity and sports.
Additionally, our esteemed swimming club member, Hans Vugts, has received the “Activist Athlete” award for his remarkable contribution to LGTBIQ+ sports. Hans founded the inclusive swimming club Upstream Amsterdam 29 years ago, and for several years he has been an active part of Diversport Torremolinos, excelling as an athlete, earning numerous medals in local and international championships in the 65+ category, and demonstrating an unwavering commitment as an active volunteer for the community.
