of Diversport Torremolinos
“Thanks to Diversport Torremolinos, people from the LGTBIAQ+ community can practise sport in an inclusive way, without fears or preconceived ideas that 'they are not good at it'.
At Diversport Torremolinos we respect, learn and welcome everyone who wants to be part of the club, serving as a support network for those who are not from the city, or even the country.
Diversport Torremolinos is a family, a happy group that shares values, friendship and a passion for sports.”
I am Beto Ramos, a non-binary person. I joined Diversport Torremolinos to practise sports in a safe LGTBIAQ+ environment where there is no place for any kind of discrimination but for fellowship, respect, solidarity and fun. In addition, it is a great source of motivation to practise sports in a group, instead of doing it individually.

Fitness has always been a priority for me and participating in an inclusive environment is the best. Diversport Torremolinos has given me the opportunity to lead one of the sections, Track&Field. For me and my wife the most important thing has been to make close friends. Many are like family to us now, our chosen family, since we both live far away from our families.

For me, Diversport Torremolinos is much more than sport. It's about creating friendships and feeling connected. I remember one time I had to miss an activity because I wasn't feeling very well. There was an outpouring of love and affection that really touched my heart. Participating in Diversport Torremolinos feeds my spirit - and it helps my Spanish too!

Despite being one of the older members, I've always felt welcome. And I wasn't always the most athletic of people, but it doesn't matter here. Now I run the SeaSport group and I love paddle surfing. With SeaSport we have camped together, travelled to the USA and even Vietnam and Cambodia, some of the best travel experiences of my life.

Diversport Torremolinos has been a boost at all levels in my life, personal, professional, but above all to establish a solid foundation in this land, chosen by many people to stop being tourists. Diversport Torremolinos has provided me with a support network of which I feel an integral part.

I am a new member at Diversport Torremolinos, and I currently participate in several sections such as tennis, beach volleyball, hiking, relax or the reading club. I was looking for a safe place to practise sports no matter what level of ability you have and to meet people with similar concerns to mine in a healthy environment. Diversport Torremolinos has given me the opportunity to meet amazing people to have fun playing sports with. It has helped me to overcome many limits and connect more with myself.
